Seems like all the dishes coming out of dishwashers at houses I visit have grey haze or spots on the glass, even if they do pre-rinse them. If there's stuff you can see, there's probably stuff you can't see.
It doesn't seem like much more trouble to wash by hand, they're much cleaner, and you don't have to put away the clean ones before you can wash more, esp. if there aren't many people eating.
@EileenKCarpenter @Armchaircouch Ice found the modern smart dishwashers can handle everything in Turbo mode.
Garbage disposal built in.
