Looks like Microsoft forgot the lesson of Windows 10 and is going to try that "required" thing again?

Hey, @GaryPoole twice in one morning? Not that it's not a good song. But having that feeling of deja vu while working? I know it's early in the year.

What is your favorite '80s movie?

So many great movies, but I'm going with "Raiders of the Lost Ark" (1981).

I want to close out 2023 with a thank you to everyone who:

made me smile
made me laugh
made me think
made me a little more than I was before.

Thank you.

Gotta love ending my 2023 work time with 3 mandatory training classes, including annual "Active Shooter Training". Yes, it's running over my expected work day, but it will be finished before I log off for the year.

Why does Amazon think the answer to everything is "more ads"? Like, people pay for these services so they don't have to watch ads. "Give us more money or we're making you watch ads" is not the big-brain marketing move they think it is.

This is made worse by the fact that my coffee is gone. I want more, but I shouldn't. I blame this in part on the weather, being overcast and a touch rainy. Just glad I'm home as I have 2 packages supposed to arrive today.

That duel headspace where you absolutely need some things to be completed this week, but you know full well it's not likely because a lot of people have taken off and you're okay with that.

I wish everyone who works in an office a Liminal Work Space this week.

Enjoying the Jewish tradition of going out for Chinese food today.

Looking at all this Republican hand-wringing about how they're afraid they're going to lose their "jobs". Well, this is what happens when you push extreme legislation, unfounded prosecutions, and other horrible ideas when it's been made clear a majority is against it.

Go fash, no cash.
You shat your bed. Now you get to lie in it. We're not cleaning up after you anymore.

Or, you know, you could try doing something about it.

Wishing you all a Merry Sithmas

Remember on this Christmas Eve day that retail workers are exhausted. No, they can't get you that very important think you need right now. If it's not on the shelves, they don't have it.

If you must go out, be kind to those working. They want to be home right now.

The Jedi have a long and storied history of failure.
We're going to explore more of it.

Dear Republicans. Stop taking victory laps when you're on the losing team. You vote against it, you don't get to go out and tell your constituents how they are going to benefit from it after it passes anyway.

@GaryPoole
"Sirius" by Alan Parsons Project was used heavily by the Chicago Bulls. So, thank them for us being inundated with it at basketball games.

Bea Arthur historically plays anti-bigot characters. In both cases, she strongly and loudly calls out hate on TV.
