Wow.
So check out that poster. "A dark fairy tale." Um, yes, with an emphasis on the "dark."
Getting ahead of myself, however. If you told me that I'd enjoy watching a primarily all-child cast as much as I did here, I'd say I probably wouldn't have believed you. Paola Lara, who I admittedly mistook as Dafne Keen, is clearly a major talent, as is Juan Ramón López. So, first and foremost, the cast was absolutely on fire for this.

I think I can discuss this without spoilers. 👍
I think the most fascinating and beautiful aspect of this film is in how it portrays the supernatural as, rather than being a binary "real/unreal" it's shown as part of a spectrum that the mind can experience. If that sounds like a cop out, I understand. You simply have to see this one for yourself.
I can only say that, the dramatic weight the film pulls off is pretty astounding.
