Believe it or not, there will be a Radio Free California today, and it will be HUGE (side effrect of taking a week off)
Working my way through it now. I'm guessing about 80 songs. A lot of stuff came out these past 2 weeks.
So, unbeknownst to me when I booked this vacation, the Blue Note Hawaii is in our hotel. On our first full day there I asked the young man at the desk of the hotel who was playing that night and he had never heard of them.
Well I bloody well had. Just dumb luck.
New music from The Killers. Close your eyes and it sounds like Meatloaf.
I've been on an early Chuck Mangione kick as of late and his great quartet from before he got all famous is just astounding.

Oh man, the new and final album by X is good. Reeeeaaal good. I was in Los Angeles for the first few albums. They were always amazing.
How is it that I'm only now discovering Nick Drake? Holy carp this stuff is amazing!
The last track on this week's Radio Free California is this amazing track by HUMANIST with Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode on vocals. By far the best song on the album.
