They're just set in this magical little place in Florida, inspired by somewhere I lived. The premise has grown on me and the characters are wild. They have a dramatic series arc to get through together, so it's been lots of fun writing it.

@Jezibaba @scottronaut Possibly, though I believe there's also a problem with not wanting to accidentally ship different types of fruit flies into California from Florida. I can only get the smaller variety of avocados here in Denmark also. They ship from Mexico, Columbia, Costa Rica and other places. I don't know if the Florida ones are exported anywhere. It's a shame because they're not just bigger but meatier and creamier, with a lovely flavor as I recall.

🍌 I really miss plantains. There is an absolute lack of plantains where I live in DK. I invented a recipe to make sweet plantains using regular bananas, pan-fried with butter and sugar, so they caramelize properly. Sadly, I can't make plantain chips or tostones that way. *Sighs in Cuban.*

@Jezibaba @scottronaut I remember the avocados in one of my back yards in Florida were bigger than the mangoes, larger than a baby's head. They had soft glossy skin, too. I'm not sure what breed those are, but they were wonderful.
