^^ The folks who need to hear this most won't, but the surest way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory is to be a hyperpartisan right now.
MOST PEOPLE AGREE that women should have the right to make decisions about their own futures—yes, even a plurality of Republicans—and we alienate allies on this vitally important issue when we vilify entire swaths of people with hyperpartisan maxims.

Expanding the supreme court will not help if the Senate still filibusters every Biden nominee. And ending the filibuster just helps the next GOP president pack the court when aging liberal justices retire/die.
We need state legislatures to flip. We need the sleeping giant of parents of teenage girls and boys to realize what this could mean to their kids' futures. And we need constitutional amendments to guarantee sexual and reproductive rights.
Never have I seen the word

used so often on the Community Firehose. This is so fucking screwed up.
The invisible gorilla strikes again:
Sometimes a deal isn't a deal.
In general, it's a good idea to assume that any significant, important, mind-blowing information that you've just learned and really want to pass on to your buds is probably wrong.
It's always a good idea to (a) check where this amazing info came from and (b) try to find a completely *different* source (not just one with a different name, but one that has independent witnesses or evidence) that describes the same thing. Then (c) make sure that they are actually in agreement.
Sometimes I repost funny memes I see here. I like to give credit for the source when I repost, especially as I get so many comments about how good the stuff I'm reposting is.
If people have chosen to have a PLP enabled, I can link to the original post, though I have to screen shot it for it to be visible in FB.
It would be a way for people to see what's going on here, since they can't actually view discussions here without registering.
