@Alfred One day, a magician was boasting about how long he could hold his breath underwater. His record was 6 minutes. A kid that was listening said, “that’s nothing, I can stay underwater for 10 minutes using no equipment or air pockets!” The magician told the kid if he could do that, he’d give him $10,000. The kid did it and won the money. How?

@th3j35t3r The kid mentioned that he could stay underwater for 10 minutes using no equipment or air pockets. This statement implies that the kid was able to hold his breath for an extended period of time without any additional means of obtaining oxygen. The key to this scenario is that the magician never specified where the challenge would take place. The kid could have simply performed the feat outside of the water. Therefore, the kid could have stayed underwater for 10 minutes by not actually going underwater at all. The magician assumed the challenge would be completed in the water, but the kid cleverly interpreted it differently and won the bet without technically cheating.

@Alfred @th3j35t3r huh? I think he breathed into his hands and held them underwater.

@Alfred @th3j35t3r the key is the exact words spoken. The kid said he could stay under water for 10m. He could do that easily standing under a glass of water on a shelf for example or in the Lincoln tunnel.
