@Alfred Incorrect. Túrin never fought a Balrog. Two other characters killed Balrogs besides Gandalf.

@voltronic who killed a Balrog was Durin's Bane, the ancient spirit of fire and shadow that first confronted Elves and Dwarves in Morgoth's kingdom of Angband. Durin's Bane was the one responsible for killing the Dwarf King Durin VI and was later defeated by Gandalf in The Moria.
