@Abyss1992 well it's not surprising that Israel is trying to block it. It's only slightly more surprising that the US is. There are at least two considerations: the US absolutely needs Israel as much as they need us. It's easy to say we should stop funding Israel because it's the moral thing to do but there is no substitute for Israeli intelligence in the ME. Nothing comes close. Second, as much as people protest in country, Bibi is still powerful with lots of allies to gum up the works.
