Okay, checked this out. This is basically so all the embedded tweets in news articles still appear. You have to know the exact tweet UID or URL to a specific tweet for it to work.
Won't help us regarding our Insta-Verify issue as if you go to a users feed while not logged in you still get the login challenge.
But I have a fix!

I think we just need to get a board hanging somewhere where it says "It's Been X Days Since Twitter Made a Stupid Choice and Didn't Notify Anyone" and only print the numbers 0 through maybe about 7.
