@amarand 🎂🎉🎂🎉Happy Birthday! 🎉🎂🎉🎂
Dear New Users,
There's really no need for posturing here.
No need to be the roughest toughest Marlboro man to hit the beach.
No need to be the craziest MF on the cellblock.
Just say hi and pretend to be human.

Indiana Man Arrested for Assaulting Law Enforcement and Other Charges During Jan. 6 Capitol Breach
Nicholas Scott Ingram Hofer, 34, of Carbon, Indiana, is charged in a criminal complaint filed in the District of Columbia with felony offenses of assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers and civil disorder.
In the 43 months since Jan. 6, 2021, more than 1,488 individuals have been charged in nearly all 50 states for crimes related to the breach of the U.S. Capitol.
For what it's worth, there is CDC money being given to states to allow uninsured and underinsured to still get free COVID vaccines, but it's more patchworky since it's going to states and local rather than being federally administered. I'd rather do what I did last year (Bridge Access Program) because it was easy. I just let the pharmacist know to use the BAP for the COVID vaccine when I checked in. I self-pay the flu one since it's cheap.

“General H.R. McMaster told CNN’s Anderson Cooper Monday night that Trump sought to negotiate with the Taliban as U.S. troops began leaving Afghanistan, which undermined the Afghan government. As a result… 5,000 members of the Taliban (were released.)… The revelation puts the chaos of the 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan into greater context, as conservatives sought to lay much of the blame onto Biden and successfully pushed that narrative into media coverage.”

If such a thing could work (IDK if it could), it might be an alternative to antivirals?
With such a thing (let's call it an AAATRIP, for Antigen Activated And Targeted Ribosome Inactivating Protein) bound to it, if a virus invaded a host cell and started the replication process, the AAATRIP it brought with it could start inactivating the host cell's ribosomes - stopping viral protein production.
It'd also eventually kill the host cell, but that's what your immune cells try to do anyway.
I had what is potentially either a very stupid idea or a brilliant idea, related to immunology...
Viruses rely on the host's ribosomes to replicate.
Viruses have antigens that antibodies and antibody-like molecules can bind to.
Antibodies undergo conformal changes when binding.
So, what if someone designed a Ribosome Inactivating Protein (RIP) around an antigen-binding site, such that it's only able to inactivate ribosomes when bound to an antigen on the virus it's meant to target?
And how many of the citizens with undocumented wives were military who served abroad? Does that happen? Does anyone care?
