Shrimp and Grits, a Mother's Day surprise for my Southern wife -- this is her favorite thing.

Gulf Shrimp, Conecuh smoked sausage, thick savory gouda grits, creamy garlic reduction, and garlic butter.

Pulling this off during a pandemic took some advance planning. Keeping her from figuring it out until dinner took a lot more.

@Stonekettle Inspired me to do the same-but ran out of grits! So...polenta with paprika, served with black beans, sausage, and sliced avacado with a fried egg on top. Little bite of heaven. Hope you and yours stay safe and don’t have fires to deal with.
