@homebird @process @th3j35t3r @BreakingNews That's not really true, though. And I'm saying that as someone who's s not exactly a fan of the Monarchy.
They get x amount from the govt (the Sovereign Grant, set by govt), but they also contribute through profits from products and use of the land, as well as the indirect money from tourism.
You can argue about the costs vs benefits, but saying they contribute 'nothing' is simply not true.
