If I ever program a world/universe where the residents may become self aware, I'm going to also put in some message, say in the equivalent of the cosmic background radiation telling the residents as such.
Don't want them to become confused.
@Vanitas - No. RP1 was a self-contained story... I'm thinking, like The Martian, the author got "lucky" and subsequent works won't be as good.
You want to avoid The Truman Show?
@MountainMan - TBH, I've been avoiding anything with Jim Carrey since he helped ruin the Batman franchise.
yeah, he really stunk up the joint with that one. Although that whole particular movie was rank.
@MountainMan - by no means was he the only offender there. But I didn't care for him to begin with, and that sealed the deal for me.
Come on, Dumb and Dumber? That was genius.
@MountainMan - IMO, one of his first (of many) misses.
I'm sorry we can no longer be friends
@MountainMan - I've gotten that before.
This is a hill I'll probably die on.
I'm not a huge fan of his, but a few of his flicks are really good, if you like stupid, physical comedies.
@MountainMan - that's the thing... I do like them.. I was raised on a steady diet of Three Stooges.
Maybe you should be stoned to enjoy Jim.
@MountainMan - perhaps... but that's another thing I can't get into... me being hungry and paranoid is not an enjoyable.... or safe combination.
I never took a shine to it either. Just makes me hungry then I fall asleep.
Next you'll tell me Blazing Saddles isn't the pinnacle of comedy
@MountainMan - no, there we agree. Most Mel Brooks movies are up there.
