Vents to let hot air out, add vents to let cooler air in or pull restricted air from every tiny nook and cranny in the structure that connects to the outdoors.

Where to put these vents is very site specific, only constant is feed air into each room at floor level to create a draft constantly refreshing the air in a room.

Vents on shaded (sunny in winter) walls and pipes in the ground coming up in shady tree groves or ...?

what’s interesting is that those flood proof. I’ve been reading that there are sustainable hurricane-proof house designs that would be applicable for our weather whiplash and floods to come, but most of the designs are raised off the ground on strong stilts if I remember correctly.

(unfortunate because a sunken earth home would be goals for me)
