Confession time: I usually try and keep all of my social media light and nothing super personal but today I just need to say this. To be Black in America...there are just no words for it. I am so tried and I feel so defeated. To see the way violence and brutality have been normalized for people that look like me is so heart breaking. @Rise4rmdarkness I want to say something uplifting, but I'm not Black. I don't carry that. I'm likely to say something cheap and empty. It even puts a wall between myself and Black family members at times. So all I know to do is sit with that and look at why our society made sure I won't know how to lift a Black person up.

@weirdfizz I thank you for this. Empty words are easy so thank you so much for finding a way to show some empahty and understanding without minimalizing my feelings.
