New outdoor cat house is open for business! I bought one that claimed to be weather proof, but it definitely isn’t winter-proof. While it had a decent assembly, the paint job was awful so I bought some exterior paint to repaint the entire thing. The front door was also open, so I bought a pet door and trimmed it to size. The silly flower box on the side is being repurposed to create a snow wall on the bottom; I still have the center piece to finish repainting. 1/3 #cats #CatsofCS
n its place to cover the screw holes, I added the snowflake tree ornaments from Menards, sprayed with Thompson WaterSeal. I then added rubber covers to protect the feet, which were covered in cheap plastic that will likely break in the cold. Then I used insulation foam board inside and added a heated pad that stays 10° above the air temp and then heats up when an animal sits on it. 2/3 #cats #CatsofCS

@vozoto I'll be monitoring it. If needed, I'll protected it with waferboard like what I used under the heading pad.
