If you're looking for a really good thriller/horror movie, watch Doctor Sleep, the 2018 sequel to The Shining. I had read the book years ago but only got around to watching it last night. Very well done.

I don't know if you found this to be the case, but if my memory serves I think it tracked pretty closely to the book. As opposed to The Shining, which King famously hated because Kubrick made so many changes.
Speaking of which, I was thoroughly impressed with how well they recreated the sets for the last section of the movie.
@voltronic it felt pretty spot on to the book. I really enjoyed how the director was able to capture the psychological aspects from King's original work and the visual aspects from Kubrick's work. And agreed, the final sets were so good!
@voltronic my wife and I recently watched that as well! We both agreed that it was an incredibly well done movie and a fitting sequel for such an iconic classic. I second your recommendation!
