Amount of money getting donated for a political candidate is astonishing
And is that really something to cheer about ?
Its just another part of politics that makes it ugly, corrupt, and turns it into a popularity contest
Couldn't all that money be better spent - donated to better causes - given to people who actually need it

It was always very problematic, and then the Citizens United SCOTUS decision made it far worse.
Honestly I'm more upset by the obscene amounts of money given to professional athletes, but only in certain sports. Contracts in the hundreds of millions of dollars. We could end poverty and hunger worldwide. Every sport should have strict salary caps and protein should be required to give a substantial chunk of their revenue to charitable organizations.
