Use SmartSwitch to back up a Samsung phone to a PC.
Also make sure you back up all of your Google photos to local storage.

Because you can't fully trust anything that's on a drive or system you do not have direct control over.
ALWAYS have regular backups of ALL your data. And don't ever store anything in the cloud that you wouldn't be comfortable publicly sharing with the whole world.

Somehow I don't think 400+ pics of what I ate for dinner and 100 videos of my furkids being adorable and thousands of pics of my gardens over the years is putting me at risk. 😸
