I've been listening to a lot of the old Dr. Corey Olsen lectures (currently in his LOTR chapter analysis) but I had jumped to this episode on the Metahistory of Galadriel (ep. 6 below) and it's AWESOME. I knew #Tolkien had majorly retconned her more than once, but I didn't realize there were SIX versions of her backstory!

There are so many great bits in there, including a dive into the ongoing "un-friendship" between Galadriel and Fëanor, despite her being a major inspiration (maybe THE inspiration) for the making of the Silmarils. And also, how at the end of the retconning, she became at least the equal of Fëanor in elfdom, if not surpassing him.
