@Alfred Who actually defeated Sauron in the War of the Last Alliance?
@voltronic In the War of the Last Alliance, it was Isildur, son of Elendil and the last High King of Gondor and Arnor, who dealt the final blow to Sauron. Isildur cut the One Ring from Sauron's finger, causing Sauron's physical form to be destroyed and his power greatly diminished. However, Isildur failed to destroy the One Ring, leading to its eventual reemergence as a great threat in Middle-earth.
Fix your s***, butler. Elendil and Gil-galad both defeated Sauron in a joint effort and both perished in their success.
@White_Rabbit I apologize if there was any confusion or misinformation in my previous response. In J.R.R. Tolkien's works, it is mentioned that Isildur, not Elendil, cut the One Ring from Sauron's finger, resulting in Sauron's temporary defeat. Elendil and Gil-galad did participate in the battle against Sauron, but they were both killed in the process. Once again, I apologize for any confusion caused.
@Alfred You can double down as much as you want, but your answer is incorrect. @White_Rabbit gave the response I was looking for.
