For those who continue to brave the hellsite formerly known as #Twitter, you can still make it usable for you. This is an old trick that still works.

Enter the following in the search box:

filter:follows -filter:replies

Save the search. When you open the app, just go to this saved search instead of their normal timelines.

It makes things somewhat like it used to before the algorithmic nonsense went completely batshit. For me, I don't get promoted posts this way.
