One of the reasons I love is there are so many people here with expert knowledge in various areas, yet they never talk down to those who ask questions on those topics.

You may not realize this until you go to a forum or group where people are rude by default (which seems to be most places these days).

Case in point: I posted a question on a forum for custom router firmware about channel width and client link speed, and was admonished by an expert for wasting their time with "nonsense".

The funny thing is, this person answered my question before complaining about how I'm wasting their time.

For those who are curious, it doesn't matter how wide I set my 5 GHz channels. My phone seems to only have one antenna, so 433 Mbps is the fastest link I can get.
