For any newer people that don't get the Mossad reference from @status regarding the DDoS attack, here is some background:
J has had to do the same thing to get attacks to stop on CoSo a few times. If that measure is taken, this site will be completely down for some period of time. J's Twitter feed would be the place to look for info if such a situation occurs.
