@voltronic our company’s workstation disk encryption uses the TPM chip, if that’s what you’re referring to

Yes. I know some systems have them embedded; others have it as a small expansion board.

I've never done full-disk encryption; I just encrypt archives of important stuff and mount as needed with VeraCrypt.
