Good Morning! 🧘♀️🔆🙏🩷
Mom has a big mass in her breast. I saw the sonogram and mammogram. It's obviously not benign.
I understand there are new meds that are not chemo that's helps. Maybe slows growth. I haven't researched yet. Waiting for results of needle biopsy (this friday)
Im grateful for your love and support. ❤️

Sandra, just seeing this about your mom.
Specific gene testing can help determine whether immunotherapy is possible w/ or w/o chemo.
Ask the oncologist if the biopsy tissue genetic testing included EGFR, ALK and PD-L1. The Mister's PD-L1 was high meaning a good response to immunotherapy, like Keytruda. We're waiting on the EGFR. ALK is tested if the mass stage is 4 or greater.
Sending love to you and mom 💜
@CherNohio ty. The biopsy is Friday. Would you be able to identify if I showed you the mammogram?

And…that is IF it gets to that point. It just may be a very large cyst 💜🤞

Oh gosh, no I wouldn't be able to. It's only with the assistance of the radiologists, oncologist and surgeon that I've been able to understand what his mass is all about. It's best for the professionals to assist you in that way. It's a lot to take in and I've had to step back with my not going wild googling all those scenarios. Waiting is awful, but it's truly best to use their expertise with guiding you. 💜 But...do ask about genetic testing on the mass & their recommendation
