Good morning, I have a legal question
My son is an adult, lives at home due to issues, does not work rn due to issues - so he has no money
Will he qualify for public defender or would they force parents to pay? I expect this may cost over 10-20k maybe more.
I don't want to sell off stock from retirement account. (But absolutely will if needed)
Thanks in advance. π
The house is clear of the negative energy this guy brought in.. it's a very weird story on how I could SEE this.

With all due respect, and gentle compassion: if you have a legal question, then you will want to consult with an attorney licensed to practice law in your state of residence.
@LSWellesley absolutely! No offense taken. The lady at the public defenders office will be calling today to qualify him. I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience.
It's new to us and we are learning a lot very quickly. Ty π
@LSWellesley we all are doing a lot of self-care. It was the first thing I told everyone to do (after he got arrested and the narcissist was gone. We know we ate going through and ordeal here so selfcare is a priority.
We are trying to keep elevated emotions in this house. It's important for us individually but also the house, keeping the environment as positive as possible. π
Very wise!
