@dredwards1028 Personally, I'm split on her response. It's mature and serves her constituency, But it also rolls over and allows the right another yard in the quest to demonize and eradicate trans people.

It's definitely a bit of the old Democrat formula that has shifted the Overton window so far right: Leaning "across the aisle" to work with people who then just move the line back.
On the other hand, I'm not sure she could safely do anything else.
Perhaps she will vocalize cooperation, but find ways to resist once she's actually in office.
