"Transgender surgeries for undocumented immigrants in prison" hits multiple subjects people have strong, irrational feelings about.

It's trans people, sure. But also, a lot of people object to undocumented immigrants receiving anything of value, even basic care. They also object to prisoners receiving any kind of compassionate treatment or care. I've seen folks argue that prisoners shouldn't get an appendectomy... as though every prison sentence should be a death sentence.
