Reflections on this week (1/2) .... what gets me is the complete selfishness of america. One person said to me that Kamala had said nothing that was going to directly benefit him, so why should she get his vote. He's an upper middle class white dude with kids .... the whole system is set up to benefit him, ffs!

I also fit that profile (sans kids), and maybe I'm some hippy idealist, but I see policies that positively impact minority groups as 100% benefiting me.

Reflections on this week (2/2) .... if minority groups are being looked after, if everyone has Healthcare, and enough food on the table, how are we not better off as a society?

I'm don't need a tax cut. I want a society where everyone gets a fair chance.

To my view, I benefit from being surrounded by people who are safe, cared for, & set up to do their best. It makes *my* world better when everyone benefits.

My world is better when the people in it all read and are well-educated. When they have the energy and resources to innovate and research--and their contributions are taken seriously.

My world is better when fewer people are starving, homeless, disconnected from society. Crime goes down. It costs less money.

I'm selfish that way.

@tyghebright You selfish monster!
🤣

But yeah, seriously, how is your world view not the majority? It's all got me flummoxed.
