This is something I've experienced, starting in my late 30s. Until then, in my professional life, I could do almost everything myself. Therefore, I could fuck around, and let my hyperfocus kick in near the deadline, and crank out something as good as most people did in a week.
To be clear, the fuck around stage involved me researching, thinking, and processing, which allowed that push to be effective.

@tyghebright I am struggling with my #neurodiversity life balance and see many others in my meatspace also struggling. I wonder how much the Covid lockdowns messed with people's strategies even without adding the complexity of long Covid into the mix.

But now, my projects are more complex and I need input from multiple people. This makes my lack of focus and executive dysfunction a much bigger problem.
I didn't develop ADHD in my 30s. My workarounds and ways of hiding stopped working.
