In addition to reaching a location that's often specifically cited as a place that climate change will have minimal impact, Helene really showed how a storm isn't an isolated event. It created tornadoes and flooding far from the path of the hurricane.

I suspect it was related to the particular path of the storm, straight up the Appalachian highlands, rather than coming in from the east and dumping its water on the piedmont, where it's more typical to get the brunt of a storm's rainfall.

It's unfortunate that so many have become brainwashed. Climate change scientists have been predicting this exact kind of event.
