Currently reading Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders. Listening to the audio while following the digital book. I'm about 60% through.
It's *brilliant*.
The story of Lincoln grieving his son, told by the ghosts who watch him in the cemetery, with snippets from historical texts, letters, articles etc, of people observing and commenting on the President.
So many distinct voices, coming together to paint a picture of the liminal place of grief.
This is likely to be a new all-time favorite.
I agree with this recommendation. It's a special book.
@tyghebright thank you for sharing. I've downloaded a copy.
I LOVE George Saunders.
It's the only one of his I've read, so far.
Have either of you read A Swim in a Pond in the Rain: In Which Four Russians Give a Master Class on Writing, Reading, and Life? It sounds like something my book club would eat up.

I have not read anything else by him yet, but definitely will.
