This is Carrot 🥕 my sister’s new guide dog trainee (she raises them from weening until about 1 yr and then they go on to advanced training). Oddly most of her pups don’t become guide dogs. Her last one is now a diabetic alert dog (and made the front page of the Sarasota newspaper today). Several have gone on to be bomb sniffers and Veteran assistant dogs.
They allow donors to name dogs. The donor who supported her training named her Carrot because carrots improve your sight. #dogsofcoso

@InvaderGzim She’s 6 months and about 1/4 the size of Rocket. My sense of dog size is all skewed. I asked my sister if she was ridiculously small for a lab and my sister looked at me like I was craycray 😂
