@Gierchak Well, we're about due to find out what the Trump regime had really intended to do with their child hostages.
I mean, they clearly hadn't planned to ever give them back to their parents, given the fact they *barely* bothered to record which kids belonged to whom—sometimes not at all. Add in the cases, where parents were deported, while the U.S. simply *kept* their children imprisoned.
So, what *exactly* did they want all those kids for? What was the original plan?
@Gierchak Maybe sometime soon there'll surface leaked internal memos instructing the IRS that the top Trump Donors should be allowed to have their lavish tax gifts paid out in child slaves, rather than mere money. Complete with forms, where they can fill in the preferred sex of the "merchandise" and a checkbox to tick if they'll need a "disposal service" , once they're used up.
Or maybe they just planned to grind them all up into mince-meat for Trump's breakfast, lunch, and dinner burgers.

The international adoption "market" has gotten very tight as more poor nations have enacted laws preventing or restricting it.
When Trump says he and Putin were talking about adoptions, it's entirely possible that it's (partly) true.
1. Russia has used them as a bargaining tool

2. 45's State Department has further restricted them

@tyghebright @Gierchak @JustTheBast Yes! Thanks. I was looking for those articles.

Some of the kids being separated from their families have been put into the adoption agency that Betsy DeVos and her husband support.

And there is good reason to be worried these kids will be adopted out.
