I have a sneaking suspicion that an embarrassingly large portion of actual cash I make as a tarot card reader is going to be spent on expanding my collection of tarot decks. I do not need to be looking at this deck you can color, or the one that's Smith Waite, but in gold and pink. Oh, no. That one has rainbow foil. Why do I absolutely need so many decks?

@tippitiwichet Maybe that's the wrong question. Maybe you're earning the money so you can get something that makes you happy and fulfills one of your interests.

@AskTheDevil Shh. What will make me happy is earning enough money to comfortably live without Joe's help. Though I know he'll let me leech off of him while I save up money to move out, so surely one inexpensive, waterproof, and wrinkleproof deck for letting clumsy card bending newbies handle my decks is a practical business purchase, right? The gold foiling is just a bonus. :)

@tippitiwichet The nice thing about being a tempter is that it is hard to have a bad outcome.

Either the person resists, and feels good about their moral character, which is strengthened by the exercise, or they give in and treat themselves to something they otherwise would not have!
