When I see boiled or steamed chunks of meat - chicken, pork, beef, doesn't matter - I get horrific flashbacks to being injured and hiding among a bunch of waterlogged, decomposing corpses, and the foulness getting into my mouth, my nose, my ears, my eyes.
About once a week, someone steams or boils some piece of meat, puts it before me, and gets offended when I have the same ptsd experience and say once more I won't eat boiled meat.
If I puked would that be clearer?

If it is cooked in water or steam, and it turns grey it is boiled meat, and I can't enjoy it, because even though I don't fall to pieces, it still feels like I'm eating waterlogged corpse.
It doesn't matter if you claim it is not boiled because you put butter in, too. If it is grey, waterlogged meat, I won't eat it. Period. I don't give a shit how it got like that.

And I can handle not eating it or fixing something else, especially if I know beforehand.
I'm just tired of explaining the same thing over and over. You can argue with _me_ all you want, but my _PTSD_ says it's not eating your steamed chicken breast.
