My poor carnivorous garden has had a rough couple of years. I was hospitalized three times, among other setbacks. The most recent visit was a week and a half, I came back and my plants were dry as bricks. I was shocked any lived, they hadn't been faring well on the porch, so I had brought them in right before the visit. They sat in a dark house, with no water and were already stressed. These are delicate plants. Most were faded when I came back, but not this one. Look at Scarlet Belle go!

@fernfren I managed to get some nice fresh pots going, I got a fresh water filter and leeched the peat, trimmed off everything, and decided to eradicate the bladderwort that has been outgrowing the purple sphagnum tips. So, everyone is getting a fresh start, and some plants only faded with just a bit of browning. My Meyer lemon, ginger, and Thai basil made it. Also, naturally, the mint. I am moving out in a couple of months, I'll splurge on more in the spring.

also do tell me more about the ginger, which species do you have? -- i collect those too
@fernfren A few of those made it too, you they're in the background of that pic, in the same pot :). They were mostly black, I had to prune a lot of them, but I think at least two seem like they will be just fine.
The ginger is from a grocery store :). A hippie store, so it wasn't radiated and could germinate.

glad your lil tippitis lived. i've lost a few purpureas and i don't know why. i have one from CA Carnivores that is doing just fine but the ones i bought locally went crispy. all 💀 in the same end of the bog, so maybe there's something different at that end, idk.
