I've saved memes for years but never really looked in that folder. They're all good for points made well, but you know, kind of hostile. People don't listen when they are angry. So I thought I'd clean out that folder and delete the confrontational stuff. I'm finding it's not just fluff that's left, some of it makes a good point, gently.
@LnzyHou Speech was required for my BA, and I was amazed at how valuable that class was.
It’s valuable no matter what the business you enter. We need to learn to navigate differing opinions respectfully and without pulling guns on each other.
@LnzyHou ~ I agree! Speech and debate teach critical thinking and how to have a difficult conversation without gouging the other person's eyes out.
