My little bog plants have a tendency to attract spiders. They like to feast on the insects the plants attract, even going as far as to steal prey from sundew and pitcher pant traps. There always seems to be at least one spider in my little bog. I've even had spiders crawl inside of pitcher plants to spin their hammock, one spent a week in a tube molting. Sometimes, I catch a spiderling and raise it to adulthood and let it go. Here's some of my fav shots of our little guests.

@tippitiwichet it’s interesting. I used to be absolutely terrified of spiders. And then one week I had not one but two giant bleeping spiders in my house scare the bleeps out of me. And for some reason now most spiders as just cute. Still don’t want big ones near me, but I’m over the “get that away from me NOW” response. My favorite is a small black house jumping spider, with amazing teal eyes. Not pets for me, but I have a much greater appreciation for them now.

@Flibitz I got over my own phobia when I got a macro lens, and started following macro insect peeps online :). I think the first thing that grabbed me was the same thing, a mostly black spider with a flash of blue just under the eyes. Then I started seeing more pics and they just became beautiful. I still can't let them walk on my hand, though lol.
