Getting more "trying to change people's minds is useless" comments over on Mastodon, don't want her to think I'm doing whatever they call subtweeting, so I'll ask over here, 'cause I do want to know. By the way, I would vote yes, many times. (And they never knew they helped me.)

Have you ever had someone tell you something patiently and kindly, and you didn't want to hear it, but it wouldn't leave you alone in your head until you looked into it more, then you changed your mind?

@tippitiwichet

I believe that "People can change their minds," and "People refuse to change their minds" can both be true.

Because there are different types of people, and some of them are willing to adapt to new information and some of them are not.

@Tarnagh This is true. It just gets so tiring to know the people who CAN adapt need to be reached. We have to know some people can be reached, or we will all give up.

I started trying to calm down to talk to people in 2020, and I can't tell you how much effort is going into this. I'm not calm by nature. It gets tiring, mostly when I'm online and seeing people saying such efforts never help, I'm glad I put this up. I needed to see 6 votes with 100% yes, I can make that give me the energy I need.
