Out of the blue, just a few minutes ago, I got a message from my endocrinologist saying she is leaving, a general notice sent to all her patients.

This was a woman who listened and went out of her way to try and help me ... she was the 2nd best endocrinologist I have had after decades of dealing with racist and fatist doctors. I am absolutely devastated ... no warning, no nothing. I JUST had an appointment with her last month.

Now I have to start all over with some horrible person.

Now I have to go through the tedious process of seeing different people, getting treated like shit over and over until I find someone - if ever - who is going to treat me properly ...

Honestly ... the depression is real right now. I was finally getting good treatment from a good doctor who listened and worked with me ... now she's just gone, just like that ... now I'm screwed and back to hell again.

I’m so sorry this is happening, She probably knows other endocrinologists, can she recommend one? Can you get copies of the office notes? Hopefully she documented your specific needs.

@Smccune55 She's gone. Like she's no longer even at the office and they sent out this notice today. She is gone. I have no idea what happened. I have nothing but this note and now I have to figure out what to do. Now I have to start this search all over again and I'm so tired of doing this ...

@thewebrecluse I'm sorry this has happened to you. Try to Call the office and ask if they know where she went. Search the web and see if you can locate her at a place. Also try contacting the state medical board. See has to stay current with them. 💜
@Smccune55

@thewebrecluse Dammit. This is a setback, but you’ve been through worse and come out on top. Don’t lose hope, it’s going to be alright. 💕

@Smccune55 I don't have hope so I'm never worried about losing it ... I'm just upset my doctor didn't tell me anything or give me a heads up since she knows what I went through before I found her. I just saw her not that long ago ... I'm more disappointed than anything else. I spent almost 30+ years without medical care ... I can take care of myself for as long as I need to. This was always temporary as I never have quality medical care for long.

@thewebrecluse

perhaps do a little digging
and find out if she is relocating
to a different office
not too far away

keeping in mind she
probably can't directly
tell you where

@millard_jmm @thewebrecluse
There may be restrictions in her contract that prevent her from relocating within a certain radius within a certain number of years, as well as not attempting to take patients with her.

They will have prevented her from downloading a list of patient contact information. They will have blocked her from getting phone or post card confirmation that allows her to claim her own business Google or Microsoft profiles.

That's standard practice.

@millard_jmm @thewebrecluse

Depending where you live in relation to where she ends up, though, she might end up even closer to you. But she can't tell you.

You want to get something called her NPI number, or NPID. It stays the same no matter where she goes. So while she can't find you, you can find her.

@thewebrecluse @millard_jmm
An endocrinologist is probably Board Certified and doing coursework to maintain that certification. So she will keep her address up to date with the ABMS. It may be the town where she lives rather than works, but if she's moved out of state, you would know
