@thereg001 I tried the programs and I tried a "pro". I'm not prepared to spend money I don't have to go any further, though I might make some calls just to get an approximation of what it might cost.
@Lindy can we slave drive it to recover the data? I used to design at home and lost a major profect..so I thought. Spent 125 without success then found a way to link it and copy the data. @thereg001
@damselfly59 link it? I drive a car, but I'm no mechanic (I've heard it said). I can read instructions, though. @thereg001
@Lindy so if the hard drive OS crashes you can take it out and add it to a working pc as a second drive. All the data is there and can be copied to a portable back up drive @thereg001
Sorry for delay. Weekdays i check in on breaks and lunch pst on coso cuz y'all keep me happy.🤗
@Lindy OK I’m late to the conversation. It really depends on what went wrong with the hard drive and the tools that the third-party people use.
Without throwing false hope. I was able to recover data from a drive that the computer couldn’t read from or boot by sticking it in the freezer for 24 hours. Then keeping it “frozen cold” as I access it from an external drive adapter. Again, professionals have better tools.
