At first glance I thought it was the breeze moving this thing. Then I realized, nope it’s moving all by itself. But what the heck is it?

No pretty dry, maple tree, crawling up and around a smallish area on the tree trunk. As if it’s collecting or eating tiny things you can’t see. There is at least two of these little creatures.
@thereg001 Some insect then. There's a lot of creatures that look like tree bark and leaves :) I'll try to check around later but I'm still trying to recover from atempting suicide by carb overdose last night. My blood sugar after 8 hrs of sleep and 11 hrs total post eating was over 150 this morning. blech
