@Valkyrie_D: Those are nifty.
Years ago a girlfriend and I made giant cotton clouds (with lightning effects and regular lighting effects) for her living room and bedroom ceiling. It took way, way longer than we thought it would, but it wound up awesome.
@thedisasterautist I ran into an issue with the last section of lights 😩 The blue isn’t working. I was refunded already and I’m just waiting for a new set to come. I’m just going to snip off the broken section and add the new ones! I can’t wait to see how it turns out. It took me about an hour to put them up. I think gluing the clouds up is going to be way more time consuming!
@Valkyrie_D: It will, likely. We made the ones for her rooms all DIY. So it was always going to be a bit chaotic and time-consuming. LOL. It was fun, though.
@thedisasterautist this is all DIY as well. Any tips? 😂 Did you use a hot glue gun?
@Valkyrie_D: (cont'd.) ...put a few LED lights inside the frame and wired them onto one power pack, wrapped the frame in light-but-sturdy fabric, glued a ton of cotton batting around it, and then hung it from the ceiling via the four hooks. (It took a week and a lot of "Oh, FFS!" to make, and we vowed never to do that project again.)
Advice: Patience. Moar patience. Then order extra patience from Amazon.
Srsly, tho: The cloud will pick up dirt, dust, and insects like a magnet. Also, cats.
@thedisasterautist LOL @ the “…order extra patience from Amazon.” part!!! Eek…I honestly didn’t give much thought about dirt, dust, bugs, etc. 😩
