@Valkyrie_D: Those are nifty.
Years ago a girlfriend and I made giant cotton clouds (with lightning effects and regular lighting effects) for her living room and bedroom ceiling. It took way, way longer than we thought it would, but it wound up awesome.
@Valkyrie_D: It will, likely. We made the ones for her rooms all DIY. So it was always going to be a bit chaotic and time-consuming. LOL. It was fun, though.
@Valkyrie_D: We did. Glue guns were Charlie's weapon of choice. She was (and still is, probably) a cosplayer, costume-maker, and seamstress. -- Our first cloud was the puffed-out batting glued to the outside of a hanging "paper" lantern. Same for the second, though with an additional remote-control blinking fairly lights string for lightning. -- For the third, the one that went onto her bedroom ceiling, we made a wire frame from cut-up clothes hangers, put hooks on the top of the frame,...
@Valkyrie_D: (cont'd.) ...put a few LED lights inside the frame and wired them onto one power pack, wrapped the frame in light-but-sturdy fabric, glued a ton of cotton batting around it, and then hung it from the ceiling via the four hooks. (It took a week and a lot of "Oh, FFS!" to make, and we vowed never to do that project again.)
Advice: Patience. Moar patience. Then order extra patience from Amazon.
Srsly, tho: The cloud will pick up dirt, dust, and insects like a magnet. Also, cats.
@thedisasterautist LOL @ the “…order extra patience from Amazon.” part!!! Eek…I honestly didn’t give much thought about dirt, dust, bugs, etc. 😩
@thedisasterautist this is all DIY as well. Any tips? 😂 Did you use a hot glue gun?
