@thedisasterautist

I could do this once upon a time. (Getting older, sadly, means having to prioritize cerebral resources.)

However, it may also come down to youthful enjoyment and enthusiasm for the material.

@thedisasterautist is this an autistic trait? Because I can do that, I always say that I have a full playlist in my head to listen to when I'm alone working on something that doesn't need much brain capacity and I don't seem to show many other traits from the spectrum

@Linwelly: It isn't a specifically autistic trait, no, but it has been noted by some researchers that it does seem at least somewhat more common in autistics than in the neurotypical populace. Mind that neurology is a spectrum, "a fluid set" is you will, rather than a series of minutely distinct types.

@thedisasterautist I'm just curious since one of my kids might be on the spectrum (diagnosis is still in progress) but with this I'm the only one in the family, but then I'm kind of oversentitive as well, guess we're a wierd mix of traits

@thedisasterautist I can, but I have excellent recall. Didn’t know until I was an older teen that it was atypical. It’s not always a good thing to have though.

@AverageCitizen: Affirmative, alas. More often than not it can be something of real bear to wrestle with, having excellent, often involuntary recall and in particular when one's long-term and very-long-term memory is excellent. Por ejemplo, I remember things, many vividly and verifiably, from when I was around two years old and even a little younger. I remember my pediatrician's office from when I was less than a year old. I also remember tastes, smells, tactile sensations, sounds, and sights.
