Today My Dad has been diagnosed with aggressive Prostate cancer.
It is treatable, a bone scan is the next step, then medication and radiotherapy.
@Mauve_matelot @stueytheround sorry to hear that.
My dad is literally going through the exact same thing (diagnosed a couple of months ago). Catching it early really helps. He has started his meds, few months of that before the other treatment starts.

I am so grateful for this cyberspace community because I know of no one in my meatspace social network who has had treatment or have parents who have faced Prostate cancer

One thing I'll pass on, that has been really helpful, is to see if you can get a doctor or nurse (the nurse did it for my dad) to refer your dad to the McMillan nurses organisation.
They have been fantastic, answered all his questions, got him in touch with other guys going through it. Been such a steady base for him to understand the diagnosis and everything 👍🏻
