I live this. As much as I love my family, I have to remind myself that they are trying and doing the best they can to learn and accept the pronouns I prefer. I often hear shi, hir around me and it can be hard sometimes but I know that my husband means it in the alternate spelling rather than she/her and I love him so very much for that. But here, and other online spaces I do prefer they/them shi/hir. Masculine pronouns give me such a big boost in my mood, okay? But I don't mind, really! #LGBTQ
